Hey, on the 12th of March we are releasing an improved version of our puzzle game www.matchagon.com. Matchagon+ is a mix between Tetris and Match-3. You can combine and remove blocks to score points and create combo chains. It's "even more minimalistic" than the "classic" Matchagon and will be free with Ads. If that did not convinced you already you should give it a try right now! I'm having fun with this, but I feel like it could use a tutorial. Having fun figuring it out though, it's really unique
This is cool. It's like a mix of Match 3, Tetris, and Threes. Stacking similar colored hexagons allow them to combine (So 1+1=2, 2+1=3), Matching similar value hexagons clear them from the board. That combining element adds an extra layer of strategy and complexity
NAMHTMYJRR64 redeemed. Impressions to come~ Edit: It's actually really fun. Combining (as previously stated by others) Match 3, Tetris, and the math game, 'Threes', (Sorry Bronx, you pretty much said it all), Matchagon+ makes for an excellent combination of puzzle/strategy. Enjoyed it, glad I picked a code up!
Not bad, I was not sure if it was worth it but after a few game I did 200 on leaderboard. I think the octagons are big enough... Maybe add leaderboard in the game ?
i'm glad you guys enjoying it. its pretty much a fan service right now, tutorial and ingame leaderboards would be something to add.
Didn't even realize you're the same devs behind Zuki's Quest Also are you Arnold? Saw that you're on TIGForums
The game is actually really fun and addicting, I find myself playing it every chance I get. Also got a highscore of 470
@Bronxsta yes right, i'm Arnold. Again thanks guys! It's out today, so let's see if we get some Apple love on Thursday.
Is that how it works, Bronxsta? From what I saw there are something like 3 systems working at the same time. 1) Removing same colored pieces if 3+ are touching cardinally (not diagonally). 2) Removing same colored pieces if there are 3+ in a direct diagonal line. 3) Removing pieces if 2 same colored pieces if on top of one another and both leveled 3+. That last one is really unique as it not only clears the two leveled pieces BUT leaves a wild card piece behind which then can match with other pieces using one of the first two rules of clearing.
Correct the white block gets merged from two level 3+ blocks and its points get multiplied by 3. So combined with a chain this gets alot of points.
