I been wondering, why do people even care about call of duty. The war in iraq has similarities, why not join the army and experience it through real life perspective, without any of that continue? BS.

Because some people don't want to get shot, or blow up. I don't blame them.

because if you go to the army you have to play it 24/7 and god knows we cant handle 1 hour with glitchers and hackers, imagine spending years with them

It's the only game where you can shoot someone in the back ofthe head 6 times at point bank range with a shotgun just to have them turn around and stab you. So to answer your ? There is nothing great about it! If the major bugs were fixed but they never will be then it would be the greatest game ever but as it stands right now the game ( all 3 of them ) suck for online play but the campaing is great but at $60 not worth it considering it will only take a few hours to beat.

well, no button to respawn in RL, thats why i like COD so much :D

COD is by far the best FPS shooter around the globe, it's no surprise they made 1 billion $ with this game so far. It rocks like hell.

Getting shot in real life = bad

Getting shot in video game = annoying

cause you can't die when hit by a bullet in a video game. and real life gunfights aren't fun.

Because, in real life, if a rocket hits near you, you can't survive it.

You mean military shooter, not shooter in general.
I dislike all modern military-themed games in general, as with lots of other people. Though I like some shooting games.

Let's see here...Last time I saw a zombie in real life was...wait...umm...hmm...erm...ugh...oh wait...never (unless crackheads count?)

Seriously though. It's a game with a great deal of quality and the reviews from just about everywhere (as well as the HORDE of money made) prove it. If your considering it...I say get it!

Now regarding the military services in real life...take it from me, just because you enlist doesn't necessarily mean you will even go to a war/a war-zone(unless you are very adamant on requesting to do so.)

I don't want to die. Plus you can't knife people 15 feet away from you in real life, nor do knives kill someone if they get stabbed in the foot, nor do people magically survive 10 bullets to the chest, blah blah balh

Has anyone read the book "house to house"? It's a great book from a soldiers perspective. Life is hell for soldiers.

    seriously?

why play mario 1? you could just go to a pet store and jump on turtles!
why play gran turismo? you could just go buy a ferrari in real life and drive it!
why watch tv? you could just recite lines of dialog with friends!
why read a book? you could just write one yourself!

the answer, my friend, is because these things are fun for some ppl.
