Since I hate the mass: wsig- thread cause no one ever answer What to get from them: Riven or 7th guest?
Myst and Riven play like really beautiful slide shows. Seventh Guest feels more like a 3D space. Riven has aged better, though, perhaps because it's an original take on the adventure game. Seventh Guest has a more familiar haunted house atmosphere, which, combined with the dated 3D graphics, makes it seem a bit, well, cheesier. Both are still great games, though.
100% Riven if you ask me. it was a LOT harder than myst. I just liked the atmosphere a lot more and the gameplay
While I haven't tried the 7th guest, you can't go wrong with Riven. It's a fantastic game that shouldn't be missed!
In 7th guest there isn't much but in Riven there can be a lot to read..of course you don't have to read it all but some can contain a few hints as to what to do..
