Take a look at this http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Konami+news/news.asp?c=14519 Konami is supposedly dropping the price of silent hill, frogger, ddr, and silent scope to .... 99c! That is great value. MGS will be $2.99 Sale starts tomorrow and ends saturday. Can't wait
I have been waiting for a DDR price drop...it gets pretty positive feedback. Frogger is a classic so I probably will pick it up for 99c. MGS...im not too sure about it. And powerpros is not going on sale because it just came out.
DDRs is one of the best games I have...it blew my expectations out of the water- a steal at $.99. I really like MGST, and think it's worth 3 bucks. I'm going to get Frogger and Silent Scope (as long as the sale is in the US too). Power Pros is brand new, not going on sale, and totally worth the full price, which is already low for what I think is a premium title.
It seems kind of odd that they're announcing this sale beforehand. That's like putting out a pretty release saying "Please don't buy our games for the next couple days!"
Well they only put it out one day b4, which isn't that bad. This could get more people to look out for their sales
I always thought that this was a known thing for developers. I mean it's fine to announce sales, but that just means your letting people know that unless you want to donate money to them, or you already have the game, don't buy _____ for a few days. It will just be on sale for ____ in a few days! You can wait!
Definitely going to pick this up. Just grabbed a $10 gift card and was thinking to finally get MGS today until I saw this thread Going to hold back now until Thursday.
This is something seen with retail distribution more than digital distribution. You'll see a sales ad in the newspaper or on TV announcing a sale for an upcoming date. As for doing something like this for iPhone games, as long as upward momentum has stopped and sales have started to trickle down in numbers, they probably aren't going to lose too much money if any at all. Again it all boils down to shopper psychology.
Actually its kind of smart. Maybe they don't wanna listen to any of the whiners who are gonna say "WTF! I just bought this yesterday for $7 and now its $1!!!" Its sorta like Konami saying to them in advance, "hey, we warned you"
Can't wait to get DDR and Silent Hill before I leave MGST was a blast. Definitely worth the eight dollars.
