My build is almost ready for upload,but i haven't done any marketing ! Please help... Its a simple shape making game and I plan to upload it in a few days on iOS for $ 0.99.
Did you post in the upcoming games here? Also there are several other iOS forums you can post your app to.. Do you have social media pages built already and building an audience to push to? Do you have a web site with a landing page showing coming soon to iTunes? All of these help. I will be the first to admit I have released several different ways and with no money up front only my time social media and the forums drove 600+ downloads on our last launch not great, but it shows the power of the forums and social media.
Suggestion I would suggest you upload it for free and offer in app purchases (Freemium games tend to do better in todays market) and if the game is fun and addicting you can get a pretty good traction, the $0.99 revenue is nothing compared to what you can make with a free to play game that gets a lot of users to try it. Just a suggestion from a person who played a lot of games and never payed for an app (but payed for in app purchases). Also, feel free to start posting the name of the game to as many places as you can so that it gets some virality prior to launch. Cheers and good luck, Jordan
