Meteor Blitz won't go 2x on ipad

Yup, it's our bad. We just got our iPad a week ago and immediately realized that.

We actually just finished putting the final touches on an update for Meteor Blitz and I'll be submitting it to Apple this afternoon.

It adds the 2x button on the iPad, and in addition:

- Stage select screen (so you don't have to restart the entire world if you run out of lives)
- Faster framerates
- Faster load times
- Bigger particle effects
- Auto gravity gun
- Gameplay balancing

 

Thanks so much! This was one of the first games I tried when I first got my iPad and was so disappointed that it wasn't going into 2x mode.

Yup, we're planning an iPad-specific version of Meteor Blitz.

The 2x iPhone version looks okay, but I think we can do a lot better with an iPad-only version.

 

Just finished submitting to Apple. Anyone know how long it takes Apple to approve apps these days?

 

I have found that not everything works in iPhone emulation mode. Red Conquest for me crashes and has missing screen controls

Hi everyone,

An update to Meteor Blitz is now out! Some highlights:

- 2x on iPad works
- Added a Stage Select screen (so you don't have to restart at the beginning of world when you run out of lives)
- Instead of double tapping to enable the gravity gun, it's turned on automatically when you shoot. Personally, I think it's an entirely new game with this feature
- Minor gameplay balancing
- Even faster load times
- Even faster framerates, more responsive controls
