We´re planning our next big project. Would you like to have a classic SciFi Phantasy Star like RPG? Turn based?
Turn based would be wonderdul. Too many action RPGs, as for the settings I really don't mind. So sci fi would be fine.
I voted and i said YES. My favorite Phantasy Star Game is and will always be Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 and 2 that Came out for the Dreamcast and then some of the other gaming consoles and also PC. Is it gonna be like Phantasy Star Online With the little MAG pet that keeps following you around and gets stronger by feeding it and would be the great if it had 4 player online Co-op.
If you find a way to give the turn-based thing some kind of special twist, I'd be sold But I'm sick of "simple" turn based games
Hm.. I don't really like turned based, what about some 3D action rpg? Mind that i've never played Phantasy Stars
Agreed (though perhaps "sick of" is a bit strong in my case). Future, I think your team should take a look at Chrono Trigger and Grandia for examples of thrilling turn-based combat systems that don't feel overwhelmingly complicated (but still have plenty of depth). On the iDevice, the two FFs and Monster RPG 2 are not bad, but they would benefit from having a timed component and the ability to combine special attacks.
I voted for yes. I loved across age but the AppStore is starting to get flooded with too many ARPG's lately. We need some more turn-based and the settings make no difference as long as the story is stellar.
Very much yes! Phantasy Star II and IV are my favorite none SNES RPGs. I would absolutely love a game with the same level of polish as Across Age and the feel of Phantasy Star. I'm pretty sure you would have at least one very loyal customer if you make that game.
Thanks for your votings. Just to clarify - we´re not thinking about Phantasy Star Online, but the classic Sega Genesis Phantasy Star Gameplay (e.g. I, II, IV)
Make something original, not a clone. We've had too many clones: CJS, Gangstar, Skater Nation, Dungeon Hunter, Zenonia, Blades of Fury. Nothing is as good as the original.
