That's the vibe I'm getting from those screenshots trasheater Member Apr 21, 2014 10 0 0 Web Developer Edinburgh, Uk #3 trasheater, Apr 21, 2014 Last edited: Apr 26, 2014 No, not inspired by Blek. The game was inspired by my cat believe it or not. She has a toy that is pretty much a string on a stick and I noticed how hard it was to get it to loop and coil the way I wanted to. I thought it could be a fun game mechanic for an avoider style game so I made a small prototype. It was pretty fun to make and it is my first game so its cool to see the response without doing any kind of marketing. Update: I have created a trailer for this game. cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #4 cloudpuff, Apr 21, 2014 Is the gameplay similar to blek? It's a but unclear as to what it is that needs to be done to complete the puzzles from the screen shots, do you make the image symmetrical? Or are you to hit all the dots with your line? I'll most likely pick it up as it looks like the minimal stuff I enjoy at the moment. Bronxsta Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2012 4,698 6 38 http://indiegameenthusiast.blogspot.com/ #5 Bronxsta, Apr 21, 2014 Is there a trailer or gameplay footage anywhere? I'm not really grasping how the game works from the screenshots, probably why I overlooked it as a "Blek-like" coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #6 coolpepper43, Apr 21, 2014 Hmmmm. Looks very blek like. I'm not sure if this is a clone or anything but I bet we will start seeing them and they will be free to play. Blek got pretty high on the paid charts and I bet someone will rip it off like they did to threes. cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #7 cloudpuff, Apr 21, 2014 Last edited: Apr 21, 2014 I'll toftt. Twined ipad gameplay: http://youtu.be/QF_CLbnbVH4 It's not a clone of blew but has a feeling of blek if that makes sense. You control a piece of string and the aim is to drag it to form a closed loop around pegs. It starts simple but by level ten it gets challenging due to a mixture of new elements such a pegs that kill you if touched and the fiddliness of trying to see where you are moving when the pegs get smaller. It's kind of a mixture of path drawing with a blek take on it. I'm enjoying it and am glad I bought it. The instructions could be a bit clearer as once the initial levels are completed you're left left to figure out the new elements yourself yourself but it isn't difficult to do so . I'll happily gift to one of you if you're in the UK. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #10 coolpepper43, Apr 21, 2014 Wow! Great video and explanation. It's nice to see that it's not a blek clone. I don't think I have ever seen a game like this. I would love a gift but unfortunately I live in the US. It's super kind of you to even offer that. I don't think this game is gonna get the attention it deserves and will get buried among the junk. If I could I'd gift overseas but apple don't allow it for some stupid reason. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,456 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #15 sugimulm, Apr 22, 2014 Thanks CP for the video, will buy once it's universal. It really helps explain the game. I'm gonna invest in making a trailer now. @Bronxsta I have put it on iPhone but it is just not as fun. The further levels get very tight and the players hand really has an impact on the play. On iPad it gets difficult but not frustrating on iPhone its just frustrating plain and simple. I would not like to subject people to that. I am currently looking at do a smaller version that could only be on iPhone with simplified levels. cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #17 cloudpuff, Apr 22, 2014 I was thinking that it the current version would be almost impossible on a smaller screen, it would need a separate app I think as I'm at level 12 and it's tight as my hand blocks the view and the space between pegs is small so I think on a smaller screen it would be incredibly frustrating, not the good kind. I've just noticed that you can create the loop around other obstacles and it counts as long as you don't actually touch them with the string. It would also be cool if you could unlock on puzzle ahead, I'm finding 12 challenging and it would be nice to move on and come back to it. I totally understand what you mean about you got the idea now, I used to do similar with marbles and string on my bedroom floor. Now that I know the youtube malarkey works if anyone gets stuck and it's a puzzle I've done I'm happy to make a quick vid. @cool and @cole if you both ever make a uk account let me know and I'll gift to both of you. cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #18 cloudpuff, Apr 22, 2014 I know exactly what you mean.
