Hey everyone. So, I am a fan of this board game. It is currently being made into a board game by playdek. However, the latest word is that is will be delayed untill January for an AI. The game is fully functioning ATM, and demos have been given at gaming conventions. All that is missing is the AI. So, do you think that it should be released without the AI, or wait untill AI is ready.

Lots of boardgames on iOS have been panned due to no AI at release, I wouldn't recommend going that route.

If there is no AI, there had better be GameCenter asynchronous online play at the very least, hopefully WiFi play as well (in addition to pass-n-play.)

If AI is what will make the game complete...I'd gladly wait. AI is great for practice, honing skills in general, if you have no WiFi, 3G, 4G access, and just great to have in general.

I think what most people want is to play the game IMMEDIATELY upon downloading it. Whether its against an AI, some kind of solo or puzzle mode, or against online opponents ready and willing around the clock (we've seen enough lonely multiplayer app ghost towns), nothing is more disappointing than not being able to actually PLAY the game right after you download it.

I think everyone answering the poll answered the thread title, not the poll question...

For many, having a competent AI is not an option. It is a requirement. Not having an a good AI on initial release will hurt sales tremendously IMHO.

    Yep, I think so too.

And I think AI is indeed a good idea and def worth waiting for!

I would rather wait for AI on release than wait for AI after release.
