It's actually pretty good with good responsive controls and nice visuals. And the climbing is a breath of fresh air compared with the norm. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #4 ninjackid, Nov 6, 2012 Looks good, shame to hear about the prices of the unlockables/upgrades, though... Still gonna give it a whirl! smegly Well-Known Member Mar 27, 2012 990 0 0 NY, NY #5 smegly, Nov 7, 2012 I'm kinda peeved that I bought this a day or so ago and then it goes free right after, but oh well. I do quite like the game. I found the prices low, actually. The last upgrade is 5000 or 7500, depending on what it is and the perishable items are headstarts--which are expensive--but I never use them in these kinds of games unless I need to for an achievement for using headstarts. So, I suggest trying the game out before making a call on the pricing since it's free right now. mrbiggles Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 3,691 0 0 Like retired USA #6 mrbiggles, Nov 7, 2012 yeah i always like to wait no matter how much i like or want a game. seems like over 6mo to year you get reviews, sales or it goes freebie GeekyDad Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2012 1,173 0 0 Games Journalist #7 GeekyDad, Nov 7, 2012 Looks good and the controls are (merely) decent, but it felt kinda cheap to me. Dudes throwing stuff out of windows right as you're just below them with zero chance to slide over. I get it, and it reminds me of another arcade game I remember playing back in the 70s (can't recall the name offhand). But it wasn't that fun back then, and it's less fun now. Erased it about five minutes in. Glad I didn't pay for it. That's one more McDouble on my lunch break. Respox Active Member Sep 4, 2012 41 0 6 #8 Respox, Nov 7, 2012 I think you mean Crazy Climber. I remember playing the Famicom port when I was a kid. GeekyDad Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2012 1,173 0 0 Games Journalist #9 GeekyDad, Nov 7, 2012 OMG, yes! That was the one. Glad I waited. smegly Well-Known Member Mar 27, 2012 990 0 0 NY, NY #11 smegly, Nov 7, 2012 Seems I wasn't actually charged for the game anyway since the payment delay was a day and on the next day the game was free. Just a fun fact. AppleFan12 Well-Known Member Apr 25, 2012 314 0 0 USA #12 AppleFan12, Nov 7, 2012 The iPad HD version is Free too (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
