Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Hi guys! It's about time for a Reckless Racing 2 thread! The first images have just been released, so the game is now officially announced! The game has already been in development for quite some time, but there's still much left to do. But I think it's safe to say that our cars are already looking much better than in the original game. No definitive release date yet, but we'll let you know when we know. Until then, have a look at the latest WIP screenshots!
Nice, I had wanted to get the first one, guess I will wait for number 2! The cars are looking lovely. Any chance you could show off some of the wireframes?
Nice graphics, indeed! But, what's the point of highly detailed cars if the game is top down, with camera being very far?
I think Getaway became more popular than expected, so there's definitely potential for a sequel! Also, we had a blast developing it, so another go would be great. But first Reckless Racing 2. Highly detailed cars are never a bad thing. Besides, you do spend quite some time in the garage, upgrading, tweaking, changing colors and such. More screens are coming, and I'll see if I can throw in some wireframes among them as well.
Oops, I was in a hurry and I wasn't really paying attention when I read the title. I'm glad that they're making another Reckless Racing game, as I didn't like Reckless getaway.
Very nice! I hope you guys stick with the off-road/redneck theme. The cars look more like street racers in the screenshots, but the track looks perfect. Either way, I'm really looking forward to this. Keep up the good work!
The drive mechanics remain similar to Reckless Racing? At first I didn't like the lack of speed, but it honestly grew on me. I absolutely loved playing it on iPad, and actually enjoyed the slower, realistic speed of the vehicles which let me absorb the environment. I hope you have whackier vehicles this time, a good multiplayer system, universal, and for heavens sake don't throw it on sale after 2 weeks.
Please don't make the game title under the icon too long. Don't want to see 'Reckl...ing 2' under the icon.. Like you have in the first reckless racing Great game though, looking forward to this one Is it being published by EA? Or are you 'going it alone' ??
