ok, Wednesday is coming up... So hopefully some action from the Apple front.. Can you hear me APPLE ??
Pocket Tactics have an interview with beamdog over the issue. http://www.pockettactics.com/news/ios-news/cursed-baldurs-gate-ii-broke-itunes-beamdog-says/
Great they brought it up on pockettactics. Here's hoping toucharcade does something similar. I'm getting tired of waiting for this mess and how ignorant apple have been with communications. What happened to common sense/deceny the last decade? Beamdog sent a message DAYS ago, no response. Are you telling me apple themself system can't detect a simple problem like this one? Yes it's simple in terms of software. Also why impose a superficial limit? Modern games are gonna blow well over 2GB. This is really pissing me off. Sorry for rant, but I expected to play this game 1-2 weeks ago or at least have an estimation. What's the point of having your game approved, and then apple just blatantly ignores you with no information what so ever? A small studio like beamdog must really feel every day that goes by, all that money they will loose.
You don't have to excuse for your rant because you are damn right!!! edit: can't find the article on pocketgamer. Do you have a link pls?
? See the 2 posts above. http://www.pockettactics.com/news/ios-news/cursed-baldurs-gate-ii-broke-itunes-beamdog-says/
@TrentOster: @pka4916 @dougbott the game is stuck somewhere in the App Store plumbing. We're working with Apple to fix it.
Trent Oster @TrentOster @pka4916 @dougbott the game is stuck somewhere in the App Store plumbing. We're working with Apple to fix it. So maybe it gets fixed today... Let's keep our fingers crossed.. Now that Across Age 2 is coming out tonight... I guess I have something to play lol
Fixed today would be perhaps too much optimistic, but nevertheless it's good to know that they work on it with Apple.
Or giant miniature space hamsters could go for the eyes... GO FOR THE EYES BOO! GO FOR THE EYES!!! *squeeksqueek*
9:12pm release time for all the Canadian's out there dying for BG2!! Downloading as we speak; will post comments from an ipad air perspective.
So. Haven't played far, but spells and such don't slow anything down. The text is razor sharp and the GUI has been redrawn and coloured grey to further clarify those ancient icons; I prefer it to BG1 on here (ipad air) if I was to compare the two interfaces. Otherwise gameplay is snappy and oozing with BG2's personality. We've all waited for so long and this appears to be well worth the wait! Yay!
I think that since it just spontaneously appeared on the iOS App Store - not appearing first in NZ, or overnight, suggests to me that Apple must be culpable somehow...but I am just glad the wait is over!
