As much as I love Playdek, they have seemed to discover the tiniest glyphs since the printing press was invented. I figure if I keep throwing cash at them, they might finally enable full screen (completely full screen) card zooming. Then again, I found away around it. I went into Settings/Acessability and turned on three-finger zooming, which is a part of ios and will work with any program. It's just the tutorial that was lacking. Reading the actual rules instead of relying on the tutorial helps quite a bit in understanding the game. The game is a bit limited with the card choices right now, but it'll get much better when the expansion hits and there are more options for card combos. Juuicetin Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2010 185 0 0 #10 Juuicetin, Jul 13, 2012 I am so happy to finally see this go on sale. After taking advantage of the last Ascension sale, I have been waiting for the other Playdek games to do the same. How does Nightfall compare to Ascension? Is there a general consensus of which one is better? polycontrale Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2008 91 0 0 #11 polycontrale, Jul 13, 2012 Nightfall is a little more... Directly confrontational than Ascension. You're attacking the other player(s) in Nightfall. Not so much in Ascension. Most people favor Ascension, but Ascension has also been around longer and has more expansions and such. Nightfall has a ways to go on that front. Still, you'd be crazy to pass it up for a buck. Juuicetin Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2010 185 0 0 #12 Juuicetin, Jul 13, 2012 Thanks for the insight. I would have bought it regardless, but I was curious on people's opinions. I would think this game would be less fair since everyone could just gang up on one person. I just started though and maybe I will enjoy it more as I learn the intricacies of the game. sladeums Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2012 607 0 0 Omaha, NE #13 sladeums, Sep 20, 2012 Dropping back to $0.99 again tonight. drloony Well-Known Member Jul 19, 2012 310 0 0 #14 drloony, Sep 20, 2012 Both are really great, I don't understand why someone would be confused, the game has an in depth tutorial I found very good. Assencension has a bit more variety cause of the expansions, I've read that the Martial Law expansion for Nightfall has been submitted so it should be dropping soon. A deffinate buy for $1 that's really a steal for one of the best card games in the App Store I'd say Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #15 Greyskull, Sep 20, 2012 Great TCG well worth it for fans of the genre.
