Actually it was $.99. It hasn't been $1.99 since March but it still has a $2 IAP for the full game and to remove ads.
thanks, corrected. you are right about IAP - while the game is almost fully playable without it and ads are not intrusive - i.e. no gameplay interrupting ads at all.
