FF1 and FFD in app purchase just dropped. $3.99 and 7.99 for FFD chaps 1-4

I would say FF3. It's the most modern in terms of gameplay.

 

Personally I like V becaus I prefer the traditional rather than updated graphics. However the best game among these is probably IV.

 

This is the way I feel about them too. In fairness though you absolutely can't go wrong with any of them.

Of the three I think IV is the most accessible if you aren't overly familiar with the series, and the stories are all independent anyway so you don't have to play them in order.

 

Can somebody make threads for the Chaos Rings HD series too? $3 each baby!!!

So far i can only see the HD versions on sale.

 

Between IV and V which has better gameplay and storyline?

FFIII is not universal so i'd skip it.

 

IV has one of my favorite stories from that era of RPGs, and I would say has better overall gameplay, though the job system in V allows for a great variety of leveling options and variety. They're both really good but if I forget about the graphics update I'd have to recommend IV above the rest. I think it's probably my second favorite FF game, and my favorite hasn't been ported to iOS. Like h1ryu said though, you really can't go wrong with either.
