I can't imagine that anyone would be excited by this. No backward compatibility and no online. Heck, just not being able to play Excitebots Trick Racing online is a travesty.

Playing the Wii is a travesty in the majority of cases anyway :p

True. Even though it had great games (metroid, the conduit or however you spell it and no more heroes) and a little better then the cube, they still held it from its true power and shelled out more crappy games or not great motion controlled games. But the only thing that made the wii great was the virutal console and online games( my life as a king was great I liked it)

Apparently it was a success in canada so they are trying out new markets.

The Wii had some great games. Almost entirely the 1st party games, but it did have some very good games. Excitebots was one of them. It's easily the most fun racing game I've ever played and the online was fantastic with it's wagering to earn in-game cash.

Third party games were mostly from capcom, sega and ubisoft.
