COMPLETLY RUINED by your hand/fingers getting in the way... If you had a spot in one of the corners with a row of balls, showing what order they were getting shot in, it might help... But you'd still be trying to look under your hand at where they'd be shot... REALLY glad it's free, and I didn't pay for it! orbiongame Member Apr 28, 2011 9 0 0 #4 orbiongame, May 1, 2011 Hi, thanks so much for the constructive criticism. Your feedback is the gem in these days where people who give low rating typically do not bother to explain why. I think showing the upcoming balls is possible, someone else suggested that too. We'll just need to think how to make it look nice. But for the hands blocking the screen....hmm...that sounds difficult to avoid, and isn't that part of the game to make the game itself more challenging? I just wonder how do you position your finger? I put my forefinger slightly outside of the circle, and most of the time it does not block the view. Some of my friends play using the thumbs, too, but that's not as fast as using the forefinger. We still have quite a lot of ideas to extend the game further (e.g. global high-scores, more type of power-up balls, etc.), but we want to see if the core game play is appealing enough, before adding in more stuffs. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #5 syntheticvoid, May 1, 2011 Sorry if I was a bit rude yesterday... Thank you for offering your game for free. I've had more time to mess around with it, and found a better way to hold my finger(s) over the screen... But I still do think it'd be great if you had a spot that showed what order the balls are going to come in... As for the core gameplay... It isnt bad, and does test your reflexes, which I don't think would be hindered if we knew what order the balls were comming in, because you still have no idea where they're going to be shot. I am interested in seeing what you're going to do with it in the future... orbiongame Member Apr 28, 2011 9 0 0 #6 orbiongame, May 3, 2011 Hey, i didn't consider you initial remark rude at all, so don't mention it That's really constructive criticism to me. Thanks for further explanation. And i'm glad that you found a better way to control the game. We will definitely take in your suggestion to improve the game further. All the best! orbiongame Member Apr 28, 2011 9 0 0 #7 orbiongame, Jun 13, 2011 Hi, we just released the new version 1.1 for Orbion (now re-branded as Space Cannon), we took your suggestion and added in the hint of the coming ball, optimized the graphics and added lots more variety into the game play. Do give it a try and let me know if you like the newer version better, and all feedbacks are welcome! Cheers (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
