I'm holding back on buying this so far because of the missing retina support and the fact that there may be no further content for it. I would like to buy it because I had a lot of fun with it on PC but I will wait how it develops.

The creator of the game tweeted that he is sending the appropriate art fir a retina update, so hopefully it will be coming soon

The graphics are fine on my iPad Air All I would really like is the extra content. It can be an IAP. But I'm glad I didn't withhold buying it for those reasons because its a very good game.

This looks fantastic. Just one question: can the currency be switched to USD?

The main criticism I keep reading about on forums for the PC game (it is possible they were referring to Demicracy 2 but I think it was 3) is that no matter what governing path is chosen you can still win. Which means that the developers don't suggest some forms of government are better or worse than another. Since that isn't the case in reality some people in the gaming forums I read were upset.

    Don't stalk me.
The currency seems to change based on what country you are playing as. I do not see an option to always have it a specific currency, though.

There's no one system that is perfect. All systems are capable of governing as in the game. 'Better' is a subjective term. In reality every system in the game is able to effectively run a country as they do in real life.

It is quite hard if you only play casually and not like every single day to please every one and there are way more that 2 party's

The idea may be good but the game interface is just.... not like a game. It doesn't matter how good the concept is but if it looks like you're working on a powerpoint presentation or an Excel spreadsheet after launching this app, people are not gonna want to continue playing. Consult how Plague made their game interface, that's an example of how to make a simulation game appear like a game.

The three expansions to Democracy 3 (Social Engineering, Extremism, and Drones & Clones) are now available for $5 a piece as IAP in the game. On Steam, I've only played the first two expansions. Glad the game can now match the Steam experience.

The game runs at a snail's pace on my iPad Mini 1, which is really disappointing. It takes the game about ten or twenty seconds to react after I click on something onscreen, which has ruined the enjoyment for me.
