Suprised there hasnt been a thread yet, I might upgrade myself. Looks like it will only be $190.

And again, lets get some pictures of those shiny new devices! :D

Honestly, I think I'm happy enough with updating my 4S to iOS 7 that I don't have a need for the 5S or 5C. It would be cool to have a much better camera, especially for macro shots with the random critters that find their way into my abode, but I think I can hold out at least a little while longer.

Upgrading, but not to a 5C or 5S. My dad is buying the 5S and we're selling my old 4 and 4S to pay for it. Then I get my dad's 5. Same thing last year, my dad got the 5 and I inherited his 4S. Hopefully next year I can get the 6 instead of his 5S, but really, I can't complain much at all haha :)

You're doing it wrong. You're supposed to have the latest one, and let your parents think they have the latest one. Then you'll always be the smartest person in the house.

Yeah, well my dad is more of a techie than me. He's been a (in his words) "A proud Apple user since 1987!" He's had every single iPhone so far (selling your old iPhone can almost make back the price for the next one), so I told him he had to get it because after 6 iPhones, you can't just stop! Haha

This completely fits the description of my dad, every iPhone, and iPad, well except the mini. I think this is the first iPhone cycle he's gunna skip. I bet he'll cave once I buy mine though haha

  7. Kick him out, you deserve the iphone 5s. :)

Was gonna get a 5S but even though I can afford it I will get the 5C. Just waiting for it to be released in my country so I can get it with a provider now when Apple finally support 4g here that is better.

Just something about that 5C... I want it :)

I figure I can get my fingerprints scanned on the iPhone 6 instead.

So, if you got the 5C please give me more impressions while I suffer the wait.

Man I need to lose my iphone4, it is so bad it doesn't even break when I throw... Drop it on a wall #

Cant you just get it unlocked and sell it on ebay ?

I know you were half joking but dont moan when your insurance for items goes up in price every year due to people 'dropping items on a wall'

I got the 5C. 5S is out of stock where I am at, but there are literally piles of 5C available. No need to queue at all. Just strolled in and walked out with it.

There are no Apple Stores here, only resellers...

No England, just car insurance rates and other things are going up all the time.

Didn't realise people still get mad with devices and drop/throw them ! Seems a bit OTT !

It's not that expensive, well, if you have a partial upgrade. I'm trading my 5 into Best Buy and then the 5s cost goes down to $190

The plastic back (that's what it is, right?) of the 5c actually is pretty appealing to me. My wife is using my old 3GS and it is a comfortable phone to hold, much more so than a bare iPhone 4/5, because of the curved, plastic back. Also I have never felt like it needed a case. For that reason I think I'd like to get a 5c... but then the gadget freak part of me wants the super speedy, finger print sensing, 5s. Sigh.

My suggestion is to get down to a store and fondle it a bit, then some more before you decide. My case was urgent as my 3GS' power button is becoming unreponsive, raising the possibility that I might not be able to reboot my iPhone.

The plastic volume control buttons on the 5C really feel different, compared to what I was used to with previous iPhones...

I had not tried to download any of them. I use my iPhone mainly for calendar, tasks, messaging and email...

Besides, I think I had already bought those iWork apps, back when they were paid apps, on my iPad 2.
