im sure the people behind this have closed down, you follow the links on the support and it takes you to empty "support" page. I think this is a rogue release but if someone tells me im wrong then i will of course remove this post
Perfect World remained open but they shut down Runic. This is a shallow shell of Torchlight that has been turned into a cookie cutter f2p game. Runic said they would have more Torchlight news in the future back in Nov ina press release. I hope this game dies. Sorry, Torchlight was one of those series that helped me get through a divorce. This game isnt representing it well.
The mobile game was never made by Runic, which is the Torchlight studio that was shut down. Perfect World owns the IP and this is their game. Unless I'm mistaken, this particular game is the one that was in soft-launch in the Philippines for months, and was actually released in China over a year ago. It's a lazy veneer on an otherwise standard F2P ARPG.
Well you're wrong and you're not - this is the game that was being developed that was released in the Phillippines. But it has been HEAVILY reworked for western audiences. From the character models to the UI and some in-game systems. Everything is streamlined. They even removed the energy system. It's looking great now, very different from PH and China release. That said, it is no longer on the AppStore. Not sure why. And I can't enter the game anymore. So...
It's back on the App Store, at least in Canada, and it is significantly reworked from the pinoy soft launch.
