Yes it is sort of Mahjong but different with a little twist in how you pair up the different tiles. You can download a Mac or PC version from http://gamgo.com/venicemystery to see how it works - but it is much different when you play it on the iPad - you can feel the tiles you are playing Our testers knew the original Mac and PC version and they say the game feels like it was especialy made for the iPad and its touch screen.
This looks really good! I think it'll be a must-have for me. I'm going to keep an eye out for the release for sure!
I can't recall, doe the player have limited lives or is this one of those games you can simply replay the last level you lost on until you pass it?
Looks beautiful. I'll keep an eye out. I have a number of Mahjong apps, but always like to have something tying things together, so the background story is a great tie- in. I know I can wait for release, but for budgeting, can you tell us cost?
@LordGek You don't have unlimited lives but you get extra lives during your play as well. You can play in Easy, Medium or Hard mode.
As I just started playing some of the PC game again to get ready, what differences will there be between the PC and iPad version short of the controls? Are the scores for each difficulty tracked separately?
Is there a firm release date on this game ? I'm looking forward to playing it and I'd love to review it too. I enjoy these types of games tremendously, and so does my wife.
@quebecotr Well, we are waiting for the App to be aproved by Apple This could take a week - or two weeks - or what not. I hope we don't need to wait that long.
Btw. we are planning to add Facebook Connect and Apple's Game Center to Venice Mystery in an update later.
