The best way to describe Trouble With Robots is as a side-scrolling action/strategy card game - where you build your deck between levels, choosing between a wide variety of both spells and creature summons, in order to defeat hordes of troublesome robots! You can apply direct damage, buff your allies, weaken your foes, or come up with clever combinations of your own!

    Features:
    • REDESIGNED graphics, creatures, cards, and levels!
    • AN ADVENTURE through 19 primary levels, 8 level expansions, and 6 very difficult challenge levels!
    • CUSTOMIZATION of your deck before every battle!
    • A VARIETY of summons and spells to choose from!
    • NEW GAME PLUS after beating the game, unlock an even harder difficulty!

DEMO: Try out the Demo for Digital Chestnut's original game on the PC, keep in mind Art Castle are updating all in game art/graphics for iOS and Android! Check out the pictures and news posts to see how we've changed the game!

Thanks! Yes, you can find the demo here.

Also here are some more remodeled unitts, tell us what you think!

The Storm Dragon is an example of one of the special units in the game, raining lightning down on their foes, you'll have to defeat them before you can control them! If you think your deck needs a boost, the Storm Dragon would be a good bet.

The Batonbats play the role of the Robot's police, and their list of rules never seems to end! Expect to see them in the front line of the Robotic army, swinging their batons in your army's face!

Dwarves are the short brutes many are familiar with in the fantasy genre. Many dwarves will bring something along with them, buffing your allies in some shape or form.

We've started revamping the cards themselves. We were debating if we should keep the old design (featured in previous posts) but we felt the new look and feel of the game needed to match the cards.

We'll be releasing some detailed cards soon - our tactic has been to keep each card simple, but useful. There are cards that are stronger than others, but in most situations you can experiment with different decks - some that rely on lots of spells, constant reinforcement with summons, and I've even been working on a strategy to beat a 'Challenge' level that relies on a a combo that can stunlock certain enemies!

    Card Updates!

We're ready to start showing off the card redesigns, we really wanted the new cards to represent the new style, adopting the much more serious style.

A lot went into balancing and tweaking the cards so players do not find themselves boxed into choosing just a handful of cards. With the 'NewGame+' element in the game, you'll find yourself able to experiment with all the cards if you so choose.

Every card brings something different to the battlefield, your job is to find the ones that fit the situation: Stampede summons 3 Centaurs, but at the cost of discarding a card from your hand while Urban Bruisers summons 2 trolls with only 10% of their health!

Will you take Defiant Guard, summoning two dwarfs and giving your army temporary invulnerability, using the timing to protect your army from heavy fire?'

Gather Support, summoning more peasants each time it is played, has incredible reinforcement potential but will it work with your deck's composition?

Players who get quite good at the game will find themselves switching their decks around frequently to make their draw potential the most efficient - especially on the hardest modes.

The Area of Effect spells are great for damaging lots of units at once, but which units and how they are damaged is where you'll need to start experimenting! Targeted spells like Fireball and Boulder Crash are much better for burst damage in a small area, swiftly dealing with high priority enemy units. Of course you open yourself up to killing friendly units if they stumble into your targeted area, so watch where you point that thing!

Abilities like Lightning Strike and Corrosion apply to all enemies on the battlefield, and have higher overall damage, but at the cost of being unable to target specific units. Spend as much time as you want on your deck, part of the Trouble With Robots fun is experimenting with the many possibilities!
