    Which one is better?
    It hasn't reached the US, and has only arrived in the UK, Japan, and NZ

    EDIT: Out in US, hopefully more people vote :D

    I have some personal attachment to 1 as it was my first RPG.

    it's a more traditional 'choose a role and level up' system, while 2 uses a 'the more you do something the better you get at it system', but if you build your character wrong, there can be problems.

    They both have simple stories. 1 has a decent twist while one of the revelations with 2 was so laughingly terrible, i almost put it down right there.

    Long story short, i'd recommend 1 :D

    I picked up FF1, based on Eli's recommendation, and I'm really liking it. Can't compare it to FF2, though.
