I'd say it's just common sense, don't download a beta and expect your games to still work. some people seriously lack some essential life skills if they need a warning like that to inform them things. might pick this up as I've never played it before. edit. actually looking at it now I might have played this before? was it in psx/1 before. hmm not sure now if I've played it or not n zergslayer69 Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2010 1,211 3 38 #4 zergslayer69, Aug 4, 2015 Yea this was on playstation 1 and psp I believe. Very likely you have played it before. And I keep losing at the second stage because they pit 2 of you verses 5 enemies. Not very beginner friendly if you don't know what to do. XCOM, Front Mission, Brigandine, Jeanne D'Arc, etc. zergslayer69 Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2010 1,211 3 38 #6 zergslayer69, Aug 4, 2015 Yea that's perfectly fine. But when you consider first level pretty much played itself and is very hard to fail on, they throw you into second level with almost nothing. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but it feels like you're just tossed into the lion's den with a wet noodle in comparison to the previous stage. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #7 syntheticvoid, Aug 4, 2015 ^^^and you are This was probably the one TRPG I had the hardest time getting into. Mots a good idea to read through the tutorial and watch a couple vids until you get the jist of the gameplay... It can be difficult to wrap your head around at first. Didn't work well on iPhone 4. It should be fine. You can zoom in too, but it's not ideal. klink ð® Spam Police ð Jul 22, 2013 1,617 0 0 No thank you USA https://twitter.com/BitGamerX #11 klink, Aug 5, 2015 Here's a good primer: http://toucharcade.com/2015/01/29/rpg-reload-file-023-final-fantasy-tactics/ I hope Shaun will eventually do a mob crush stream of the game. You're not adding them in so you're trying to fight all the thieves with Ramza and Delita only, instead of having those two plus 2 squires and a chemist, at the least. This battle is a gimme, although this game definitely ramps up in difficulty, fast. MaxPancaKe Well-Known Member May 18, 2010 71 0 0 #13 MaxPancaKe, Aug 5, 2015 Thanks! Buying it now jeff123816 New Member Aug 5, 2015 2 0 0 #14 jeff123816, Aug 5, 2015 iPad or iPhone version? I have an iPad mini 2 and am planning on getting an iPhone 6s in a couple of months. I was wondering if anyone had experienced playing the iPhone version of this game on an iPad mini. Does the zooming on the iPad make it decent enough to enjoy on the mini? I really don't want to purchase two versions of the same game. I'm thinking of buying the iPhone version and using it on the iPad for now. Any thoughts? Would the iPad version bring anything important to the table other than slightly improved graphics? L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,391 398 83 #15 L.Lawliet, Aug 5, 2015 One of the best ports on iOS EVER. If you like a game with good story, good art, and deep gameplay, this is your game. However I will admit, it's not beginner friendly. It takes some time. When I first played the PS1 version I gave up a few missions in since I got destroyed. I came back nearly a decade later and love the game. Cronk Well-Known Member Jan 22, 2013 620 0 0 #16 Cronk, Aug 5, 2015 I'd highly recommend rotating through several saves. If you enter into a series of battles (forts/castles, basements, etc), start a new save!!!! If you can't beat the 2nd or 3rd stage you want to be able to back all the way out. This game is THE definitive strategy game of the genre. There is none better. Storyline is second to none, and superior to most FF titles. If you like strategy games, this is an absolute must-buy. Very rarely is a game this good with such a solid storyline. zergslayer69 Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2010 1,211 3 38 #17 zergslayer69, Aug 5, 2015 Huh, that's what I figured. Guess I must've missed the option of adding more party members. Didn't make sense for second mission to be such an insane jump in difficulty. Cronk Well-Known Member Jan 22, 2013 620 0 0 #18 Cronk, Aug 5, 2015 The insane jump in difficulty comes about 4-5 story battles later when you have archers and mages pinging you from advantageous positions. If you can survive that one you'll pretty much be OK, barring a tough encounter or three.
