3D first person shooter. Possible war/combat FPS, but more likely a hunting game IMO. All we have are these screenshots. This is from the dev - Ethan Nicolas who was extremely successful with his first app - iShoot which earned him over $600k net (this is a single, 'indie' iPhone dev who had only just studied the basics of objective C.)! He even quit his day job, due to the fact that he was earning $21k every day This game should be good. Your opinions/thoughts?
I don't know man, this looks pretty cheap. I respect this developer a lot, and I wish him all the best, but I really hope this isn't close to final...
I love Ishoot, its one of the best games of its kind! But this looks more like a Deer hunting FPS rather than just a FPS. So far, I am undecided, I just dont know how this will turn out.
Finally! I've always wanted a Deer Hunting game where you can move around!! (No sarcasm, really.) Only thing is that the arm looks kind of weird. It'd be cool if the deer tried to shoot back at you. Kind of alien deer story mode. With laser eyes...
Eliminate fanboy sigh..... Ok........ Errr, good idea. *tracks down your IP and calls your nearest nearest looney bin*
Hey now, I dumped way more time into iShoot than is healthy, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing more from this developer! I'm a good game fanboy, whoever makes them
I would actually like it to be a hunting game. It's not as though the genre has been overdone on the iPhone. Aside from the occasional arcade hunting games, there are almost no full 3D, free roaming hunting games (Whitetail Trophy hunting is the only one I can think of). Anyway, we already have MC: Sandstorm (and it's online multiplayer update), and Nova and Eliminate are just around the corner. We should be all FPS'ed out by Christmas .
Hehehehe. Heehee. *cackles* How do you know I'm not in a mental asylum already? I was just kidding you know...
Who hunts deer with an AK? I guess you could go for Spray and Pray! But without the AK, it really does look like a deer hunting game........
Yeah, that's the only hint that it could be a typical FPS. If it is a hunting game, hopefully it will be some extreme hunting game: Trekking far into the woods with a flamethrower, an AK, a RPG and maybe a couple flash grenades. Then maybe the gameplay could consist of fragging out 9ft bears from the trees/caves before firing round after round of 7.62 bullets towards the bears and finishing off them with your RPG then cooking them with the flamethrower. That would be sooo awesome. Rambo/Ray Mears/Enviro Bear all in one. Maybe it is me that needs to get my head checked out?
Tell you the truth I agree with some others as this does not look much at all. Hopefully we can create some of our own weapons. Untill then...only based on the screen shots it looks to be a mediocre FPS or a deer hunter game that is going to extremes.
I think you guys are overanalyzing these two little screenshots...without even knowing basic gameplay, I think its a little too early to disregard this one...
LOL, thats genius! Blowing up caves, chopping down trees with gun fire, blasting land to pieces with an RPG! In general, just tearing up the landscape to get a few animals! LOL That would be the ultimate in hunting games! Tell the dev of this game to start making that right away! or maybe that is what he is planning on doing with this game!
True. We don't have any gameplay video at all, and for all we know, those screenshots could be the incorrect resolution (maybe they have been enlarged) and/or they could still be working on the graphics.
Yeah, it looks like crap. Like "free" crap that you download as a widget on a mac. But who knows what stage this is in. E.N. has probably been feeling a little pressure from his hardcore fans, and wanted to give them something to look at.
I thought this interesting enouhg to post to the front page http://toucharcade.com/2009/10/24/the-pressure-is-on-for-the-ishoot-developer/ Of interest, a tweet from early October: http://twitter.com/EthanNicholas/status/4682603770
