Then invite your friends to play cooperatively, or battle players from around the world in the renowned monster coliseum! ---------- “Monster Adventures is a great action-RPG that you simply need to check out.” 4.5/5 – toucharcade.com “The best way I can think to explain my thoughts on Monster Adventures is thus: this game has been getting in the way of my job. I’ve forsaken using other apps and playing other games for this. When I’m not playing it I’m thinking about playing it. I’ve practically drained my iPhone – then recharged it, then drained it again – on several occasions. Yes, it’s just that great.” 4.5/5 – 148apps.com “Take your Pokemon concepts and throw them into a world with Zelda style gameplay and you’ve got Monster Adventures. While most devs are making shallow runners and physics games, Foursaken has gone deep with this hardcore monster catching game. Time will fly by as you struggle to catch rare monsters and delve deeper into each territory.” 96/100 – phonecats.com “Monster Adventures is a lovely adventure title with some big ideas.” 4/5 – gamezebo.com ---------- Features • Pokémon meets Zelda! • A seamless blend of rogue-like adventuring, monster catching, creation, and role-playing elements! • Create your own monsters! • Catch enemies and learn their abilities! • Complete an interesting single player campaign, offering hours of gameplay! • Find items and loot deep in the wilderness! • Rogue-like gameplay: the deeper into the wilderness you go, the better loot you find! It's easily worth the launch price. repapermunky Well-Known Member Aug 29, 2012 624 0 0 #4 repapermunky, Jan 12, 2014 It's a neat game, but the lack of story makes it get old pretty quick. I'm not saying it had to go from town to town like in Pokemon or others, but even staying in the one town, there is virtually no story, making me bored/not motivated to delve further into the game. It's a shame. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #5 syntheticvoid, Jan 12, 2014 Unfortunately, this was the case for me as well. I loved the first... oh... 2-3 hours... but after that, I really had no drive to go back to it. zdn1042 Well-Known Member May 10, 2013 642 0 0 #6 zdn1042, Jan 12, 2014 Downloading the app now... Thanks for the heads up! tops2 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2011 2,067 44 48 #7 tops2, Jan 12, 2014 Fun game..but boy the crashes. Nothing like crashing for the umpteenth time losing everything I've caught. Admittedly this was a while ago so I don't know if it's much better now. Still a fun game for the hours I put into it. _Max_ Well-Known Member Apr 19, 2012 1,500 0 0 #8 _Max_, Jan 12, 2014 Look like worth a try, thanks for head up dariusjr98 Well-Known Member Aug 4, 2012 937 0 0 A state in a country in a continent in the world #9 dariusjr98, Jan 12, 2014 I'm a huge Foursaken fan, I love all their games, and have all of them. That being said, I've had this game for maybe 2 weeks, and I'm ashamed that I haven't played it yet. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #10 nightc1, Jan 12, 2014 I'm not really a big fan of the dev. Not a hater either. Just many of their well love games I haven't clicked with. But I might as well add this to the collection invade the kids want to play it. Maxed out my first monster's stats except for HP and almost got 2 more to lv99 as well via the arena before I got sick of it. It's hardly a perfect game that was chock full of bugs at first but they really worked on ironing out the problems. Great dev that listens (a lot of our ideas were implemented). There's a lot of ways to customize your monster while leveling it and that's mostly where replayability comes from. End game offers top tier arena matches against AI teams or find a friend to do some PVP. You can also treat it like a roguelike and see how deep you can go into a dungeon be it alone or with a game center friend. There is IAP but you can totally disregard it. Feel free to get sone though if you want a small boost to your starting monster or to support the devs. Mess Well-Known Member Jul 17, 2013 1,353 0 0 #12 Mess, Jan 12, 2014 Saw this drop in my watchlist, will pick it up to try it out - not sure if it's my type of game or not, but as it's free now can't hurt can it AnarKitty Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2010 3,654 0 0 Minneapolis, USA #13 AnarKitty, Jan 13, 2014 Happy to get this and play around with it, especially given what I've heard about it from others.
