Oh my gosh!! I just noticed this thread. Wow! The graphics/artwork looks amazing!! Seriously; it really does.
Thanks most amazing is that screens are captured from mobiles devices. It runs so smooth. Here's several light models we are experimenting with, which look best for you ?
In game you are the mage's apprentice and learning how to craft spells while story goes on. It will be first of the series in this universe. In every next instalment you will grow and master spell crafting and become powerful mage. Later we will introduce PC version as well where you can test crafted spells against other player's. PC version will support VR, binaural sounds, hand tracking, full body tracking and feedback gloves.
The second and fourth screenshots are the most realistic, the first is the most attractive in its lushness, the third and the fourth create a more mystical, enigmatic atmosphere, and the fourth seems like the most balanced combination of above traits in general. They all look amazing, however! What mood, setting and atmosphere are you going for? This should really, really be in the mobile version as well. If you need reasons as to why, I can craft a list for ya two forum pages long
Sure mobile version will coexists will PC version. If Samsung launches VR gear soon enough we will support it too. All this fancy hardware that we are going to support for PC version will bring more realistic experience but would not be mandatory. As for mood it will be mix of excitement and scary/dark. p.s. I personally also like 2nd and 4th. Thinking leave both those 2 settings in game
The 1st one to me, is too yellow and the 3rd one loses some of the realism. Of course, these are just my personal opinions. The 2nd one gives off more realism which I believe is an important psychological factor in this type of genre. It also seems to me it could be for any time of day or night. The 4th one I also like but specifically only for a night time look or feel. I can envision both the 2nd and 4th one being used depending on the feel of 'time' in the game.
We did some shader and light optimizations: FPS went from 22-24 to 56-60+ and that's not the limit (on iPad 3).
The second one is the easiest on my eyes. I prefer that one. Still not sure what the gameplay is like, but the graphics look great.
First game of this series will be Magicraft: Balance, it will set mood for whole series. You may choose which side to choose to shift world balance. Next title "Magicraft: Elementals" will be all about crafting magic spells and use/test them on different dungeons. Also on mobile. After that we will start PC title "Magicraft: Arena". PC + VR + Innovative controllers to fight against each other on arena using bare hands. Then return craft new magic spells and try again.
