Your wish is my command. # Thanks again for the code. Following is my review: This game is so funny! I know that's not what everyone expects to hear. (smile) But seriously, there's this frustration level to it every time you get out and then there's little surprise that just had me rolling! There's this guttural sounding NO!!! that would somehow appear and come from the back of my throat while shaking the IPad in front of my face. LOL I am now officially a crazy person! he he There's a storyline to the game which is a bit cheesy but fun. Cally goes into the caves... (Really?? - kidding!) collecting coins, gems, treasure and fighting off monsters. A guitar playing guide that shows up anytime out of nowhere and a little girl in pony-tails with a sword and a shotgun. What more could you want? Good thing guitar guy shows up because he was able to tell Cally that her mother never taught her how to swim. The controls take a little getting used too mainly because the character has an unusual double jump glide thing going on that I can't explain. But it's very easy to compensate and get used to the controls. Cally's Caves 2 is pixelated goodness with just the right amount of challenge, frustration, & cuteness. The fun is worth the download. Note: There is an in app purchase of .99ยข. (The only iap) It gives you poison bullets, gems and disables the ads. Very reasonable. As for the ads; they are not intrusive at all.
Thanks for the review Lavender! I loved hearing your thoughts Yes we were certainly going for a major sense of quirkiness with the game. We love the idea of a little girl going in and wielding all these crazy weapons and kicking butt to save some adults. I'm really glad you found the difficulty to be enjoyable, because that's exactly what we were going for. We wanted it to be quite tricky, but if you have good reflexes and can get around quickly, you can do quite well. When you die, there's one quick screen, then you are instantly back into the action. We wanted to keep it quick because we knew there would be lots of deaths. As for the double jump, maybe I can help a bit there. The jump button in Cally's Caves 2 works on taps, not presses. So if you tap it once, you jump about 3x the height of Cally, if you tap it again from midair, she will jump again, about 1.5x her height more. The second jump triggers from wherever you are in your jump's arc, so to maximize height, hit the button the second time at the height of your jump arc! You can also buy a triple jump and get even more height. You probably already knew all this, but just wanted to clarify in case it might help.
