Hey guys, I was wondering what all has everyone had luck with connecting with bluetooth. I have tried pairing my Motorola H690 headset but no luck, and I was wondering what all everyone else has had luck with pairing. Has anyone tried the playstation chat-pad or anything? lol I don't think that would work but it would be fun to try ^.^

the h690 doesn't have A2DP if your trying to hook up with a touch.
With compatible bluetooth headphones on the iPod touch, does it also let you use the mic, and audio controls?

Hadn't tried to pair anything yet, but just tested and now my ipod can connect with my mobile without difficulty.

My iTouch won't work with a Motorola H270. Wish I knew about that a2dp stuff before I got this update. So what's the cheapest bluetooth headset you can get that'll work with the iTouch?

Look for some logitech freepulses, you can find them reasonably cheap but they don't have music controls ,just volume and mute, or mic. Woot has had some sweet deals on some soyo's that I've really enjoyed

Thanks for the suggestion but even those are $80. Would this work for the iTouch:

    Alcatel Universal Stereo Bluetooth Headset

Also, is there anything else besides A2DP that headsets will need to be compatible with an iTouch?

I found mine closeout at circuit city before their bankruptcy, musts been a slickdeal.
I'm not positive on requirement, but it may have to be bluetooth 2.0 complient and not bt1.2

Wow I really wish I would have f*cking known that too. I heard nothing about that I just figured it would have to require 2.0, like all modern consoles and comps these days. F*cking apple. I am really upset right now. Guess I'll just have to shell out more money. Bleh... I wonder why i do this to myself sometimes.

This should answer all ur questions

    Bluetooth w/......
    the mic doesnt work
volume controls works but when u pair them u can't use the volume controls on ur touch (A bluetooth symbol will take it's place) so if you get a headset
    make sure it's w/ a mic
mai Sony Ericsson works but u cant do anything like send photos or vids
    Hope this helps ;)

I dont understand. Why do I need to make sure I get a headset with a mic if the mic does not work?
I hope Apple makes an update like Samsung that pairs the iPod touch to your phone and will interrupt your music on your iPod if you get a call.

No unfortunately. So far it seems like this "Bluetooth Capability" is f*cking worthless.

From what I understand they only activated Stereo and some sort of P2P (without file sharing) Bluetooth. What would be nice is sending pictures from my phone to the iPod through Bluetooth.

You seriously need some wireless headphones. No wires for pick pocketers to know where your iPod is. No cords getting in your way

Yeah and I also seriously need a lot of money to get good ones to replace my 100 dollar bose ear-bud ones. I only needed the bluetooth for a mic, and I was hoping my not-so-old Bluetooth headset would work, but I guess technology f*cks my ass again.

Sorry this update has put me more in a bad mood than a good one.

Ohh yeah and pick-pockets are the least of my worries. Not that I'm saying it wont happen to me, but where I live/work, pick-pocketing isn't so popular. Thankfully.

Would the 3.0 update allow me to hook up my iPod Touch to a bluetooth KEYBOARD? This would really help me take notes in class...

Has anyone tried it yet to hook up the iPod Touch to a non-earphone device?

Hopefully this will be engaged by the jailbreak community, time will tell.
