Besides Bewjeweled 2 (which I've got on my PC and want something different), what would you consider the best match three game on iPod Touch. I've also got Puzzle Quest mobile on my phone (long before I got an iPod touch). With that in mind, what are some of the better match three games on the iPod Touch?
You might want to look into these(I really enjoy all of them): bitFLIP Adubble Dragon Portals Azkend Match 3D The Treasures of Montezuma 2(1 is good too, but 2 just came out)
Match 3d is an excellent match 3 game. Dragon portals is a good one that is different from the standard bejeweled style match 3s. Aurora Feint The arena is a good match 3 as well.
You might like Gemmed! or XenoWars. And if you like Match 3's you've come to the right platform because the iDevice has about 10,000 to choose from.
Treasures of Montezuma (1 or 2) Azkend (which is not a traditional match 3 but still is in that vein) Gemmed Totem Quest (also putting a bit more to the match 3) Adubble Charmed Jewel Quest Deluxe
Yes, I know and that's the reason for this question. I like a varied collection and I only want one or two --- the best ones, of course. And wow, there's quite a few selections suggested here just to narrow down. Played the light version of Dragon Portals and it's not bad. Something in the vein of Puzzle Quest would be great. Wish that Nacromancer game that just game out on XBLA was available here.
Just tried the lite version. Not much of a tutorial on how the matching affects the battle, but like the sense of urgency it gives you (and the .99 price). Might consider it. Right now between this and Dragon Portals.
Puzzle Quest is hands down the best. I played it on the PSP and it was great. The iPhone has additional chapters but I heard chapter 3 is coming out soon so hopefully they'll have one big combo for a discount
Not sure on the lite what directions it has but each color you match does something specific. Yellow for more gold, red for attacking the enemies, green for attack points, purple for attack and mana etc. On the full version a chart is on the third page of the help section. This game has tons of replay value and if you like puzzle quest you will like this!
Based on my love of Puzzle Quest, I went for Xenowars. I like the combination of strategy and the match-three. Could be a little more polished and easier to follow at first, but think I'm getting the hang of it.
