Sounds good. When can we expect some screenshots(I know soon, but how long is this soon? ) or better, a gameplay video?
Thanks RaptorF35 and iphoneprogrammer... Once we get our HUD polished up Ill post some Alpha pics. Ill be putting a poll and samples up shortly to get everyone's opinion on the icon for the game. MJ
Sounds fun, you made me want this, even though I don't really like FPS games. I hope this will be out soon.
I'm pretty sure the robot on the left was stolen directly from the Holotoy app that's on the appstore. Unless the game was made by the same people, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't. It's a great design, but I think that would be considered stealing.
We live in a development ecosystem where 3rd parties develop art that can be licensed for use in multiple apps by different developers. The style of this art fits our concept so we licensed it from the artist who originally created it for use in our project. We are also creating many more art assets that match this style. Our goal in this game is to create a great physics driven "shoot-em-up" focusing on the tech and the branding... the select licensed art made sense for us in this scenario. Please be careful to get the details before you accuse someone of stealing. MJ
Sorry, I wasn't sure how it all worked, and had no real way of getting the details before I made the comment, so I was doing some investigative work by going directly to the source. Thanks for your quick and descriptive explanation. I now feel good about this game knowing that it is all legal and I will keep tabs on it to see how it turns out. I love physics based shoot-em-ups, even though there aren't very many on the appstore, so I think your game will fit in quite nicely. In a way, I was hoping that the robot was being used legally, cuz it's a really cool design and I thought it would look cool in some kind of shooter. To be honest, I thought it was a waist of a good design in the Holotoy app, so congrats on getting the rights to it and good luck with the game!
Not really Quake... you will control different weapon turrets from a central point while the alien army attacks you. Or did you mean the premise of defending the earth from alien invaders? Can't exactly remember the Quake story line, its been many years . @song: Thanks! MJ
nothing like quake, which is demons, not aliens. so you're saying we don't have movement controls here? was sounding good up to that point.
