Featured in this update, a collection of improvements including: • The option to change graphical settings for increased performance in game. • More responsive camera controls, including the ability to make the camera zoom further in for a closer look at the action. • The ability to flip the game screen based on the orientation of your device. • Improved Ninja Rope controls allowing even more death-defying rope stunts. • The ability to unleash devastating weapons on your enemies from the safety of a parachute. • Even smarter enemies with shorter thinking times. • Highly improved back-flip and jump controls, including a new finger swipe method to make sure you never accidentally jump worms into the water again. • The facility to customise the game even further by creating your own enemy teams. • Plus, a whole bunch of improvements to touch responsiveness and performance across all devices!
Nice, nice, nice. I have a 3G S, so I didn't experience the lag problems, and now I'm hoping this update will allow others the chance to play the version of the game I've been playing which is quite fun. I'm also looking forward to better zoom and jumping mechanisms.
Basically, hope you enjoyed playing the beta. This basically reads like a list of complaints I had with the game, so worms should be pretty awesome as soon as its patched.
Looks cool =] Hopefully this will make Worms a much more playable game. Unfortunately its still missing multiplayer, though...
Ahhh this looks MUCH better. I played Worms exactly ONCE when it was released before it got relegated to my iTunes app library... might soon be able to reinstate it on the iPhone ;-) Jamie.
At least we know that they'll kepp updating. Mulitiplayer will probably be next. I have a 1st gen iPod touch and the only lag came when I moved my finger around the screen.
AWESOME! I thought Worms was already a pretty good game. This update basically just gets rid of everything that was wrong with the game.
Now we need hats, customizable game modes, the ability to enter in level numbers, and my favorite game mode FULL WORMAGE! /clears throat INCOMING!
Bluetooth will be later. They stated on their facebook page the first update was only going to be mostly fixes to major annoyances from the user base.
