Need For Speed Shift 2

meh. The first NFS Shift left so big of a bad taste in my mouth that I'm skeptical about buying this one.

Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed (by EA)



Electronic Arts has announced that Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed will be coming out for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad next month (August). NFS:Shift 2 Unleashed will include 40 events, 20 quick races and 40 cars, local multiplayer over WiFi/Bluetooth and a new 'helmet position' view. You also have the ability to customize your cars.

The game will also feature EA's new social gaming network, Origin. According to EA, if you sign up for Origin, you get some bonus currency that you can spend on to buy vehicles.

Until EA can be bothered to integrate Game Centre I will not buy any of their games. The size of the company and the amount of money they have it is inexcusable.

 

Yeah, true. But they Origin that they created themselves so what is the point of using GC when you have something that you have?

 

Yeah but Game Centre is now the standard on iOS. Apple should make it compulsory. Fine have your Origin etc but Game Centre should also be there. So sick of all these different achievements and leaderboards etc.

 

Yeah I totally agree with you. I prefer only signing up for Gamecenter rather than all of the third party ones. If games have just one system built in rather than GC, I just don't bother signing up. It feels like a waste of time.

I also hope that this game is better than their last Shift game which was just horrible. I hope they learned something from their Firemint acquisition.

Anyway, the game looks pretty mediocre to me. The first shift game wasn't all that good IMO. The handling of the cars in particular felt terrible.
