Not even the "horribly blurry, clearly non-HD, but we'll call it universal anyway" universal? And really this just looks... Well geez, how many copies of the same game do we really need, anyway? sink_or_swim Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2012 3,504 5 38 Germany #4 sink_or_swim, Feb 8, 2012 this looks like an 0.99$ Game.. 4.99$ is a joke right? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,788 576 113 England #5 psj3809, Feb 8, 2012 Wouldnt say that, the other Cave shoot em ups are a similar price, theyre superb, great graphics and gameplay, well worth it. I've got all of the Cave games, very polished, excellent games Plus sadly this might be Caves last shoot em up as they announced a few months ago they would be creating different iOS games in the near future. dnk Well-Known Member Apr 15, 2010 768 1 18 #6 dnk, Feb 8, 2012 You obviously don't know what you're talking about. If CAVE doesn't mean anything to you, then stick with Angry Birds or Doodle Poop or something. Fimb Well-Known Member May 12, 2010 364 0 0 #7 Fimb, Feb 8, 2012 @Sanuku: Why would this be their last? Seriously hope it's not. They tweeted about it the other day that they'll continue to port their titles to the system. So hopefully all is good. @Gabrien: Personally I'm glad it's not universal. Their other titles worked for me on the iPad as they were. No need to make these games universal -- except if they make an HD version, which is a different thing. Btw have you seen this one in motion? It won't be "the same game", believe me. Vally Well-Known Member Mar 18, 2009 368 0 0 #8 Vally, Feb 8, 2012 My only concern about Daioujou is that a large part of the difficulty was down to the extremely strict routine that you had to carry out to maintain a chain. With the movement speed now unrestricted, I don't think it's going to be so hard to chain. Survival on the other had... For those unfamiliar with the original release of this, and people that played Resurrection before this, you're in for a shock. While the scoring system is slightly less complicated, there is no bullet cancelling whatsoever and survival difficulty is completely relentless. It's pure dodging. Oh, and hypers just make that even more ridiculously hard. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,788 576 113 England #9 psj3809, Feb 8, 2012 There was a news article a month or so ago saying Cave would stop doing 'arcade' games and move into the freemium/social type of game which was sad to hear, so i thought this was their final 'arcade' style game. Cave didn't say they were completely stopping anything, just that they were pulling back resources. After all, they just finished location testing Saidaioujou in Akihabara. Come to think of it, you're right: makes no difference whether it's universal in this case. And why should Cave bother fitting their graphics to match a device's resolution when people will happily lap it up as is? Perhaps it's more honest of them to not call this version universal after all. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #18 metalcasket, Feb 8, 2012 Meh, gave up on CAVE after the ridiculous amount of IAP in DERPSMAILZ.
