I suspect a thread about this has already been made, but the search wasn't very helpful.
I just want to know some opinions on the best word games. I have Wordfu and am looking for something a little more relaxed. Textropolis had too many words for me, there was no way I could complete a city. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

Textropolis is really fun, just keep at it. I havent completed any cities either, but then again i doubt anyone has. Stitch em words is fun and different.

Wurdle is my new favorite. Bookworm is very good, as is Text Warp and textropolis if anagrams is your thing. Word Jong has an extreme amount of polish and the daily puzzles are a great thing. Also check out Imangi for a truly brain busting good time.

    I like Textropolis and Wordulous.

Wordulous 1.2 was just released adding word definitions. Useful in practice mode (no running clock).

Bookworm is my absolute favourite, it's very addictive and fun. If it's too pricey, you can try WordsWorth, it's similar to Bookworm.

Other than the awesome games that have already been mentioned I'd recommend Prolix as well. Good game.

Of the two word games I have, Wurdle and WordFu, Wurdle is my favorite. WordFu is a good game but so much of the time you can build up humongous lists of words (given that you can re-use letters) that it almost gets tiring. So put my vote in for Wurdle.

This is a great thread, though, I love word games and so I'm going to add all these mentions to my lists of future apps to check out.

    My list ..

I've tried the following word games so far ..

    1. Bookworm
    2. Wordsworth
    3. WordFu
    4. Wordulous (Recent Buy and current favourite)

None of these apps have disappointed me but I found Wordsworth was too good for its price and I liked it so much that I went for Wordulous .. It's amazing .. Loved it ..

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try Wordsworth but found the letter grid to be extremely repetitive. I would have 1/3 of the board in Fs or something else.
I am thinking about Wurdle and need to check out Wordulous.

I like Stich'em Words. It's really fun and just a whole different kind of word game. I also have wurdle, Worded, Imangi, and Bookworm, which are all really good.

I don't see how you could do better than Puzzle Maniak

For $5 you get 20 different logic puzzles, with several different difficulty levels and configurations, and a daily online challenge where you can compete against other people with the game. And the puzzles are randomly generated so you'll never run out. ;)

And to get back on topic:

I really enjoy Word Solitaire, Stitch'em Words and Bookworm - and I'm guessing that I should pick up Dungeon Scroll at some point. ;)

EDIT: I'm missing a game on that list - either I removed it off my iPod Touch, or it scrolled past the number of screens... (yeah, I've got way too many apps on here!)
