Spiderman 2 was the last game ever I will buy from gameloft, they have ruined so many good things for me, I hope we all learn from this, they will introduce a premium title and turn it into a free to play slowly, just remember that next time. I would prefer to play Glu's games. Yeah, MC5 was an exception, but I bet it will become freemium eventually. Gameloft is a huge company and used to be one of my favorite, I don't know how long they can keep doing this, they can't keep messing with customers forever expecting them to pay first and then turning the game freemium, there won't be anyone left who doesn't hate them RoboWarrior Well-Known Member Oct 3, 2012 658 0 16 #7 RoboWarrior, Dec 17, 2014 While the FTP transition is saddening if try keep IAP to the minimum and keep them similar to Asphalt 8, then at least it would playable for most. Seriously Asphalt 8 is the best design for FTP I hope Gameloft takes notice of it along with other companies. The new Spider-Man game is a good free to play too Rip73 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2011 4,399 0 0 #10 Rip73, Dec 17, 2014 Wow. Amazing statement. If that was the last Gameloft game you played, it securely puts any of you're Gameloft comments (and you really do like making you're "comments" on them I see) in the "rant" and "rhetoric" based on zero experience of the games whatsoever. Thanks for confirming what I always suspected. It truly is simply staggering some of the stuff I'm reading here today. Talk about first world "problems". madreviewer Well-Known Member Sep 22, 2013 966 0 0 #11 madreviewer, Dec 17, 2014 So he did not play gangster Vegas? Rip73 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2011 4,399 0 0 #12 Rip73, Dec 17, 2014 According to himself, he didn't play any Gameloft game since MC4. That rules this out as this came out well after that. It basically means he hasn't any Gameloft game with two years. That makes it an unqualified position and a very biased opinion based on no experience that would qualify it. So, you know, qualified experience based opinion generally trumps unqualified "positions". It's always best when one digs a hole not to jump in oneself. madreviewer Well-Known Member Sep 22, 2013 966 0 0 #13 madreviewer, Dec 17, 2014 Agreed, he should try the game before criticizing it. I think gameloft had surprised me with their freemiums. Take for example dungeon hunter 4 , I have finish the game without paying. By the way I want the monk character which is available in the Chinese version of dungeon hunter VirtualBoyFreak Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 26, 2011 4,782 71 48 Spain #14 VirtualBoyFreak, Dec 17, 2014 Asphalt 8 WAS the best design for FTP. But It's feel like gameloft did not make enough money in the last asphalt, and they are making that one while they are working on a other one. I got that game when it was premium. I wish gameloft did the same thing as dead effect devs. Give the premium players extra credits, or new cars Mess Well-Known Member Jul 17, 2013 1,353 0 0 #16 Mess, Dec 18, 2014 If I remember rightly, A8 launched at 69p/99 cent. When it went free everyone that had paid got a boost or something that was worth about $2. Although I can't really remember, I just remember getting a gift when it went free! Also this game is older now, I would expect it to have a price drop or even go free. It's the way GL does their business, and I actually don't think their feeemium models are too bad, A8 and Spider-man are actually quite balanced. I also played DH4, and thought that was quite well balanced. Yet to play BIA, and have no real interest in this game. nrfuller Well-Known Member Aug 20, 2009 243 0 0 Office Manager Wilmington, DE #17 nrfuller, Dec 18, 2014 I bought this game a while back but never got around to playing it. Now I'm wondering if I should avoid updating, just in case the update makes it so freemium that it's basically unplayable. Can anyone say whether or not the updated version adds crap like timers and missions that can't be finished unless you purchase "diamonds?" Cuz if that's the case I think I'll just stick with the older version. Any input would be greatly appreciated! coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #18 coolpepper43, Dec 18, 2014 For the love of Steve jobs don't update. richdmoore Active Member Feb 3, 2014 30 0 6 #19 richdmoore, Dec 18, 2014 I think you can still finish the main story missions without the dlc, and the update did fix a bunch of graphic issues on my iPad air 2. No timers or such that I saw, basically they make you pay for some weapons and other items with premium currency, but there is still enough you can pay for with cash to finish the game. Health can be paid with either premium or in game cash, body armor is premium only however. (The only thing I am not sure of is if the car repairs consumable is premium, I have a full amount allowed and can't see if they charge in game cash or premium diamonds (real cash) until I use one. madreviewer Well-Known Member Sep 22, 2013 966 0 0 #20 madreviewer, Dec 18, 2014 I did not receive gift, (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
