Thanks for heads up. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #6 nightc1, Oct 30, 2013 Been playing this tonight and its pretty cool. I like the way things unlock and progress, but I also don't like it at the same time because its hard to tell how much something can evolve through matching. So a lot of trial and error because its easy to end up landlocked without anyway to match and move on. Still overall I like it a lot, I just kind of want to see a chart or something to see how things evolve to better plan ahead. Spoilers? I've gotten as far as Spoiler making trees, lake, volcano, and a small castle and some pumpkin patch looking thing that doesn't seem to combine with anything. It doesn't hold your hand, but it does explain the progression. http://crazybread.wordpress.com/2013/08/22/pocketland-tips-and-tricks/ nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #8 nightc1, Oct 30, 2013 Wow, that was very helpful, thanks. Looks like I'm not too far off from the overall endgame. Nicely, I'm still moving forward in the same game. Hopefully more people catch on to this little gem of a game and the dev adds to it so there's more ways to advance the world. Lusyo Member Apr 4, 2013 20 0 0 #9 Lusyo, Oct 31, 2013 Thank you for sharing this tutorial. Our goal was for players to explore the possibilities themselves, which we believe adds more to the game, instead of us spoiling everything. Unfortunately, a game like Pocket Land seems to have been too complex or "demanding" for the majority, without us holding their hand. Even the majority of reviewers, who must have played hundreds of puzzle games, weren't even able to create a simple tree. We are currently working on Space God (http://www.spacegodgame.com), which is going to be a similar game, with a lot more exciting gameplay features (e.g. disasters!). We've learned our lesson with Pocket Land, which is why Space God is going to focus on making the gameplay more accessible. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #10 nightc1, Oct 31, 2013 I didn't find the game too complex, I just wasn't sure I wanted to experiment more to figure out the last bit of stuff that would unlock. I get that's half the purpose, but for me the purpose is mostly to understand the rules enough to make a cool world and up my score. Still, this is a very nice game and I look forward to te next one. Lusyo Member Apr 4, 2013 20 0 0 #11 Lusyo, Nov 1, 2013 Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #12 nightc1, Nov 1, 2013 I enjoyed it enough to throw a review on iTunes. It'll provably take several hours before it shows. This is totally worth a 5/5 as what it does it does pretty much perfectly. It's too bad people couldn't see this as a puzzle game first. It's not minecraft, though you do collect resources to build better stuff.
