Looks promising, indeed, but my GameSalad sense is tingling. Please tell me that's wrong!

^I know what you mean, i dont think this is gamesalad, but previously i was anti-gamesalad games and a lot of new ones have been very good, presume they must have updated their software quite a lot

Got a video yet or release date ? Instant purchase for me, love the graphics

@bramblett05 do you mean loading time from one level to the next?
that takes about 1 sec. or so, I'll have a video of the game playing off a iPhone4 posted shortly :)

This is a great-looking little surprise. Hoping that the physics are manageable and not too silly. I'm on-board. :)

this looks good but yea the jumping looks kinda floaty, besides that the only thing i would change is the controls layout they kinda dont match i think you should go for a design like in spellsword more simple but look good

Like I said before GameSalad is not the issue, the people who use it are. This game Heavy Sword looks like a GameSalad game and to me looks great. This is how people should use the creator. This is someone who knows what they are doing. We need more people who makes games like this to start giving GameSalad a good name again.

Good to hear about the jump being tweaked. Will there be an option to change the opacity of the buttons?

Game looks great, but one thing that bothers me is the buttons, is there anyway to make them not so visible?

It's not an issue of "falling faster." It's about applying basic physics to the jump mechanic. When you jump up, your path is defined by parabolas, your speed by the initial energy, the jump, deaccelaration, and gravity. Pressing a movement button as you jump should make the parabola wider or narrower, but the overall shape of your path should still be the same. You also need to keep track of momentum -- your character should not land on a dime. Obviously, platformers play fast and loose with physics, but there should be enough of it to make the movement believable. Early Mario games tended to be more realistic (particularly in the character momentum), while later ones err on the side of responsiveness. Regardless, there's enough of a physics backbone in those games to be convincing.

Otherwise the game looks pretty great.
