The winners of last week's Game of the Week poll are in... 1st Place: Devastator [7 votes] 2nd Place: Deponia [6 votes] Last week's GOTW thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=270808 The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. Releases active before Saturday are eligible (even if they aren't listed in this original post), weekend releases can be nominated the following poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week. Please note: 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote for it. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it. 2) This voting is for TA members with some activity. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong. 3) Suspect votes may be void. 4) Game updates, no matter how significant are not eligible for GOTW. There are enough new games to nominate that haven't been considered before. Notice of this poll may be given in the threads of all nominated games. You can see new games by looking at AppShopper.com and checking the "New"tab. http://appshopper.com/games/new/ [I usually prefer to link to thread and include icon pics but rushed this week, will edit if time] Any Landing Astral: Origin Auctioneer The Biking Dead Block & Roll Braveland Pirate Cave Swing Circle Brothers CubicTourPlus Gravity Ducks Island Lily of Swampville Monsers Panic Moon Tower Attack One Final Chaos Order & Chaos: Redemption Pixel 8 Polybear Raceline CC Rebels and Redcoats Rugby Nation 16 Rush Hour: Subway Sliders Shadow Ninja: Apocalypse Sky Slice Words Spellstone Starseed: Origin Stranded: Mars One Sundown: Boogie Frights Super Boost Monkey Super Bounce Back Swing Rush The System Touchdown Hero: New Season Whack Magic Wrecked Thanks to AnotherKellyDown and sapphire_neo for recent thread and Twitter advertisements Credit to Ap0calypse, ImNoSuperman, TriggyWiggy, Arta, TheFrost, and EchoSeven for theGOTW legacy.
I still dont like Gameloft, but they seem to be heading to the right direction with OAC2. Instead of timers that kick you out of playing the game, they use pseudo timers that dont let you complete quests but you are still able to farm loot drops and get fight xp. Im enjoying OAC2 for now despite its somewhat shallow mechanics. It's pretty, it's got a decent story (not spectacular, but surprising they added a decent one) the controls have little to no problems, and access to the game without completely locking you out in the form of timers. So yeah, i hate myself for praising Gameloft coz im still not convinced, but so far OAC2 has been good to me. 1vote to OAC2 here.
The poll is now live; participants are encouraged to discuss their selections. On mobile so hard to post tally of nominations - Starseed got 8, other poll games got 2 each, and all remaining only had 1 nomination.
I'll be home from work in about 1 1/2 hrs and will post thread reminders unless someone gets to it first. All done.
Man oh man, I did vote and honestly I love both Starseed and Super Happy Fun Block equally. As of my vote they were both tied. I'll be glad if either wins
My pleasure! Although I screwed up and was too lazy to go back and fix something... Clicking the "Sky" by Ketchapp icon takes you to the "Pixel 8" thread. Figured it didn't matter too much though since Apple features their weekly game every single week. Sorry, but that annoys the crap outta me. /negativity
As predicted (by myself), at a certain point i was rage quitting Super(not)Happy(no)Funblock. A great and recommended charming title, but only for smarter brains than mine...but smart enough to say welcome to TA to some new vote-members For me, clearly Starseed.
