    Today, I checked for an update on my iPod Touch (for once) and it told me there was a new update "3.1.2" I think it was, I'll update this if it wasn't but this is just one of there little upgrades really.

    I wish they never got rid of the thing where you'd double click the home button and the music thing would show up.

    I know right, it was just easy to do music in your apps after you started them up.

    That double click for the music thingy was undoubtably one of the best features of on the iPod, made changing song very easy. I hope they bring it back :(

    it is turned on by default but maybe the update made it so you can toggle it and it toggled it off by habit

    I'm not sure if it can be turned on in the settings but I know that the feature isn't gone completely. It still works if you are not inside of an app. If you are on the app pages, then it will still work because i use that all the time. But it does not work in apps, I think that Apple did this so that developers would have to make their games enable this feature.

    I personally don't like this feature at all. It sucks.

    I'm not quite sure what you guys are talking about?

    I upgraded today and it hasn't changed at all, it's exactly the same. I can still access the pop-up music controls in the middle of my apps without closing them.

    I agree WTH!! In settings under general and home you can change it to go to the real music "app" but the double click still works in apps!!

    yep settings->general->home switches it back

    also, if you are on the locked screen where you have to slide usually, double click home button will open up the music player again.

    3.1.2

    You actually can go back to that feature. If u go on ur general settings, theres a home setting, press that and it'll bring up 3 things: home, search, and ipod. Press ipod and next time you play an app and double click, it'll bring u to that little thing for your music. Hope this helps
