Trying to make a video of the best games in the app store. Is there anyone who's done this? I already know how to take screenshots.

  2. i'm guessing either an app you pay for... or a free app for jailbroken devices

Wtf. I thought that anyone can make a game without having to pay anything. If I have to pay 100$ to make and distribute a game, then I wont become a dev..

There isn't an app for that. Devs can use the iPhone simulator on a Mac and screen capture from that, but it isn't ideal (you don't have tilt control and it's a little different graphically). Otherwise we have to film with a video camera the same as everyone else.

There is an unsupported API that lets you output to an external screen, but it requires re-writing and doesn't run at full frame rate, so it's a lot of work to not show the game off properly. We suspect Apple marketing has 'special' iPods for demonstration and filming purposes and yes we are jealous of them :)

You can get the SDK and make a game for free. But to submit it on the app store will cost $99.

Unless you distribute the game for free, then I don't think you have to pay anything...

$100 is nothing compared to what you'll make back... even on a worthless app.

$100 is not a lot at all especially when compared to other platforms.

Aw...dude...don't sell the 360. It's really the only console this gen which is absolutely worth owning.

And $500? Going the Mini route? Or are you buying 2nd hand?
