So which of the alien breeds should I start out with first, is alien breed special edition have the same levels as the original but with extra missions? If so, don't see why I should play the original. Levels do look the same. Photos repeat themselves. Nobodies actually commented on the game play. The main thread is buying out of nostalgia..... But it does remind me of Robokill in ways, and I do like that game alot. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #16 Gabrien, Aug 11, 2012 For transparency's sake, I never liked this game when it was released originally and thought it was wildly overrated. At the time, granted, there wasn't really anything of the kind on the Amiga. These days, with the proliferation of excellent dual stick shooters on the iOS, it really does strike me as a bit of a joke. Particularly at its initial release price, and the 80% off within a week shafting does little to endear it to me now. CygnetSeven Well-Known Member Feb 6, 2010 7,580 27 48 #17 CygnetSeven, Aug 11, 2012 I had not played the game, only watched the video, which to me looked like fun. jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #18 jeffyg3, Aug 11, 2012 Been playing it for the past hour...it's ok. It does get a bit monotonous and I don't think it really holds up very well these days. For 99 cents though its not bad, but I don't think I'm going to play through this game to finish it. I highly enjoyed Team 17's three Alien Breed games on the Xbox 360. I would have much rather have seen those games ported over to the iPad instead. Those games are awesome with 2 people, and I think 2 iOS devices with those games on the road would have been a lot more fun than this one Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #19 Connector, Aug 11, 2012 Well, in my opinion, this game is better than Robokill. But as some have mentioned before, it's just ok. It's a maze shooter, and somewhat lacks the oomf that some games have, but it is fun nonetheless. Now Syntheticvoid is probably going to kill me for saying this, but in my opinion, this game is fine for 99 cents. But I wouldn't pay full price $5 for it. It just isn't that high quality of a game. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #20 metalcasket, Aug 11, 2012 Haha, just messing with ya!
