God damn right, nice to see Pix 'n' Love @ 9. I would've put Spidey way higher than 25. Not sure Osmos is #1, but it's definitely bound for the top 10.
All are good games, but I don't agree with the order they are in. NOVA and GTA: CTW should be higher up in the list. I don't know why the put Drop7 at number 2. Also, where the hell is Enviro Bear and Jet Car Stunts? How could they not put them on the list?
Okay list up until the top 3. Osmos is definitely not the best game for the iphone. There are many great games not on the list including entire genres: Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templers OMG Pirates Sword of Fargoal Space Invaders Infinity Gene!!! Sword & Poker and many others...
Yeah on their last Jet Car Stunts was Position 9... and way before other games that are now still on the list...
yes, both are very good. dont know about the two best, but they are both ourstanding at what they do.
Jet Car Stunts was the one of the few critically acclaimed idevice games that probably crushed Levi's gamer ego, which might explain JCS' omission from both this list and IGN's recent two lists of best racing and retro games. IGN is simply not up to JCS' standards of skill, this opinion being supported by Levi's recent claim (i.e. in IGN's article on the Retina display update - the first version of JCS was released November 2009) of having had to use Casual mode in order to successfully complete the tracks.
Just gone through it.. And the list is very decent, there's a lot of casual games i havent played but i'm okay with that. The games like NFS, real racing, chaos rings and GTA are most welcomed onto the iphone in my opinion
A game so like Marmite as Enviro is never going to get on a mainstream list. For everyone who loves it as much as you do, there'll be another who thinks it's nothing great like I do.
Osmos Drop 7 Squareball Angry Birds Spider: Secret of Bryce Manor Chaos Rings Plants vs. Zombies Firemint Real Racing Pix 'n Love Rush Flight Control Zen Bound 2 Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Hook Champ Peggle iBlast Moki Archetype Home Run Battle 3D Need for Speed: Shift NOVA Zenonia The Oregon Trail Rolando 2 Street Fighter IV Canabalt Spider-Man: Total Mayhem This is the whole list.
The strangest thing about the Jet Car Stunts omission is that IGN rated it 9/10 in their first review and gave it an Editor's Choice award. So much has been added to JCS since that review, including downloadable replays, challenges, retina support with AA, 8 additional tracks from the lite version, plus a good number of new tracks available as dlc. IGN must be reserving JCS to crown as their "true, final boss app" to be unveiled in the yet to be announced ultimate game run-down. Either that or they're crazy, or are omitting JCS on account of it's difficulty.
