Ok, I may not be a developer, but this is a new piece of equipment that needs some support. So let's do a little brainstorming for some device support. In other news, I got some stock riding on this and it really needs to be a success.

I plan on bringing a simple version of my Adventure To Fate game to the watch if they open it up to developers.

think 1v1 battles youll only see the enemy somewhat of an arena setting battle stronger and stronger monsters inventory might just be weapon body armor and ring/amulet. 1 potion per battle. Think I can fit everything into that size just depends what they let us do.

I am sure they will open it up to developers. However I think generally it will be a niche market. I also think apps which support your iphone/ipad app will be popular because users of iwatch are extremely likely to have those devices.

i will get the watch. for developping reasons. it's not exactly that i want to push something on that tiny display by all means - but just for curiosity reasons.

in my opinion the apple watch fell flat (at least for me) in the moment i learned that it will not be waterproof. i've been waiting for years now for a decent app for swimmers. but no..

I am so looking forward to developing for the watch. It is right up my alley.

I am going to start with developing some very stylish, dynamic watch faces but I am a game developer so games will be very important too.

The first idea I had when I saw the watch was "tamagotchi". Some kind of pet that lives on your arm and you can play with it and feed it whenever you have 30 seconds to spare.

When it's possible to FaceTime on the Watch, I'll seriously consider making a tiny little game. : )

FaceTime on your watch would blow every watch in the world out of the water----waterproof or not. : )

The tamagotchi idea is very good--I think a kitty that chases a mouse across the screen would be nice. : ) And only gets to eat it at 6 pm--dinner time!

I am in two minds as to whether the Apple Watch will take off or not. Or will it just become like the digital watch? Do you remember the days when you could get a calculator on your watch, that didn't really take off. I think because a watch is a status symbol more than a useful device. Its jewelry first, and functional second. So will this work or not?

But on the other hand, Apple has always been good at making things so simple and tidy they tend to take off. But with the iPad, it was like a new device filling a new gap in the market. It wasn't trying to directly replace something that already existed, indirectly it has replace using a computer for many. But the Apple Watch is going after a direct replacement of the watch, so you have to wonder are people going to stop wearing their Rolex and start wearing an Apple Watch?

Following on from OnlyJoe's post this article from a watch specialist is one of the most interesting I've come across. Well worth a read. Lots of pics too!

Cost would be insane, but it could be great fun to have a exercise/boxing game that used an iWatch on each wrist as input devices.
