My app was updated and released yesterday morning, and I saw it ranked in the first page in both 'Action' and 'Kids' categories. Yet in the afternoon it cannot be found in both categories even I scrolled down to the last page. Other apps are still (mostly, but not completely) sorted by 'Post Date'. It seems my app was just vanished. Now I checked again, and found the app regained its position in 'Kids' category, still in the first page, while still cannot be found in 'Action'. If apps are strictly sorted by 'Post Date', I suppose my app won't have dropped out of the first three pages. So I'm really curious about how Apple sort the apps in 'Release Date'. Sharing time segments or something?
They aren't "ranked." The "Release Date" section is by whatever was released close to the time you check.
