    Hi everyone at touchArcade,

We at Nuttergames are trying to build our first IOS game called Spingyro.
It's a 'ball roller game' kind of game, a hybrid of the old classics games
'Marble Madness' and 'Spindizzy' from the C64 and Amiga era.

In this game you will be in control of a spinningtop around the map
instead of a ball. You have to reach the goal before a certain
map time limit, and avoid weird enemies along the way.

The game is still in a pre developed state, and the graphic can still
change a bit along the development time. We will probably have a
short Video demo of it in a small month time from now.

Here's some screens from an early state, the Spinningtop is not
viewed in the pictures here yet. We hope you like it.

We at Nuttergames would love to have your rate or comment,
to get a hint & clue if you like what you see. This will encurage
us to refine the game for you.

I'm liking what I see very much so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it soon. Marble Madness and Spindizzy were favorites of mine, and quite a lot of others around here, I daresay. :D

I'm glad you like what you see Anarkitty! :) Both games was some of my favorits at that time as well. I just could'nt get enough of them, so the choice for making a game like this was obvious. :)
    Cheers!

I like the art deco feel to it, and the nod to retro gaming. Having a distinct art direction will help I think, as the actual gameplay sounds pretty familiar...although I'm not sure I've seen a top, that could be cool.

Thanks Hapaninja! I think the gameplay works well with a spinnigtop. As a neat game mechanic, you have to swipe the screen once in a while to keep the top spinning. I have a second feature included as well, but that will be a secret for now. ;-)

Great looking game, Microbex. I agree with Hapaninja - a strong, unique art direction can make any game feel fresh and fun. I like the bright colors! Keep up the great work!

Looks great. Spindizzy was a classic 8 bit game, mixed in with Marble Madness and it'll be perfect for iOS. I'm not normally keen on tilt controls but obviously a game like this is built for it.

Cant wait to buy this at some point

@psj3809 - Have you played Darknebular on IOS? We are trying to get the same feeling like that game, and i think Darknebular is working really well with accelerometer controls. But there will be a bit more to the controls that will make it an even more interesting gameplay, at least I like to think so. ;-)

This does look good. Just needs something in the art to make it stand out a bit more.

Thanks Jumpman, what kind of suggestions do you have? I'm all ears to hear ideas of improvement. :)
