Hi, we are Stolen Couch Games and we need your help to release our first ever commercial game on iPad, Mac & PC. By donating you will help us create Kids vs Goblins and get a free copy of the game when it is released this September. We are very excited about making this game and we hope you are excited about playing it. Any contribution is appreciated and will help us not only improve Kids vs Goblins, but also give us a chance to start our own company. Kids vs Goblins is a tactical action RPG with intuitive controls and compelling gameplay. You guide three heroes through seven exotic environments filled with bloodthirsty enemies. Each hero has a unique set of magical spells that are yours to control. Every situation calls for different spells and tactics, so choosing the right combination of spells is very important when you enter a hostile area. The game will contain circa 80 different spells for you to master and combine to unleash interesting and devastating effects on your enemies. More info on our website
Idea sounds good, when will you have some gameplay footage? That might help people decide whether to invest or not.
We have some gameplay videos on our site and on youtube. Our next video will be released In less then 2 weeks, and it will focus on the combat system.
We won't be able to do real time shadows, sorry. We use really detailed lightmaps with baked in shadows on the environment. We know characters sometimes feel out of place because their basicly vector lit. If we have time we will look into making this better. We will optimize the game for iPad2. Thank you for your donation!
We've got a great update this week. On friday we will release a new video featuring the core gameplay and a new enemy.
Meet Chevalier Roeland and trust mount Bebob! Together they will try to knock you down with their incredibly fast charge move. You can however lay down a suppression fire to pin them down before they reach you. Or you can just fire a well placed magic arrow between Chevalier Roelands eyes. Whatever way you choose, make sure you do it quick, because you don't want to get hit by that lance.
Here are some new screenshots of the game running on the iPad 2 at 30+ frames a second. We are aiming to make the game run at 30 fps on the iPad 1 as well.
I second that! Going to make this a day one purchase. Really enjoying the progress you're making. Any idea of a release window... Weeks? Months?
