      I honestly think most of the 3D games look like crap. Blimp is beautiful, Real Racing is awkward. Games like JCS and Snail Mail are the exception, but JCS is pretty simple regarding colors and polygons, and Snail Mail is cel-shaded.

      totally agree on JCS. Looks friggin amazing. 2XL offroad looks prtty dam good too downloading now cuz its only 99 cents

      I agree, most 3D games fail at looking adequate on the iPhone, technically impressive yes, but they're still no better than the graphics we were getting over a decade ago.

      Some of the nicest looking games I've played recently are Labyrinth 2 (the UI deserves a prize all on it's own), Beat It!, Orbital and Ramp Champ. Also Rolando 2... it looked pretty good for a 2.5D game.

      Oh, and Canabalt for beauty in simplicity.

      wow I totally agree. Gameloft's games come to mind. I would say simple graphics work very well for iPod games (flight control, space ninja, eliss, edge, space invaders, harbor master) although NFSU has beautiful graphics.

      This is a difficult choice. So many incredible games to choose from....

      Not in any particular order:

      1. Need For Speed: Shift
      2. Modern Combat: Sandstorm
      3. 2XL Supercross/ATV Offroad
      4. Dexter
      5. Tiger Woods PGA Tour

      Driver is a good example of what we mean. It's clever they got it running on the iPhone, but those graphics are TEN YEARS OLD. They don't look good, they just look better than some other crappy 3D games. 2D games and 3D games with simpler graphics are able to achieve the exact look they're after, but many 3D games fall short.
