Orbital is a great game, one of my favorite apps on the iPhone, but one complaint I have is that it is a battery-hogging beast. I swear after a half-hour game, my battery is down 30% or so. Does anyone else experience this kind of battery drain? I would think it's because of all the particle effects, as well as the moving background, and liquid-smooth interface, but I also am unsure if this kind of battery drain is actually normal.

i've literally played several hundreds of different games on my device by now, but orbital is the worst game i've ever seen when it comes to battery usage. absolutely horrifying... that's also mainly the reason why i never invested too much time into it.
