Online co-op has been promised by Gameloft in the past and not delivered upon. Doesn't matter much to me, because I know that Gameloft only supports wi-fi anyway. Gameloft never has and never will enable 3g network play.
I also like GOF 2 more but this is more arcade and coop for few minutes, for someone who doesn't want to go through upgrading the ship etc
Star Battalion looks more like Star Fox or Rogue Squadron than Galaxy on Fire -- lots of ground-based shooting missions. GOF2 is more of a free-ranging exploration game. I wish they could get the Star Wars license for something like that, but Star Battalion seems to have the requisite city planet, ice planet, giant mothership, and desert planet.
